Birmingham's Sebastian Larsson is putting thoughts of his own future to one side while Birmingham battle to survive in the Premier League.
Larsson has been in outstanding form for Blues this season and has been linked with a summer move to Wigan.
It was Steve Bruce who brought Larsson to City from Arsenal two years ago - initially on loan before making the deal permanent.
Larsson has also forced his way into the Sweden squad during the current campaign and is hoping to be part of their Euro 2008 squad in Austria and Switzerland.
He is desperate to continue playing top flight football but refusing to contemplate what might happen if Birmingham go down for the second time in three years and has his focus on Sunday's home clash with Blackburn.
Larsson said: "Of course, it's massively important that we make sure we stay up. Personally, the Premier League is where I want to be.
"I want nothing more than to be in the Premier League with Birmingham. I'm very grateful to Birmingham for my chance and it's very important that we remain in the Premier League.
"To be honest, I don't think any one of our players wants to go back and play in the Championship.
"But I haven't even thought about that or what would happen if we went down. I'm extremely happy here, I am contracted to Birmingham City.
"I'm a Birmingham player and there's nothing more I can say about that."
Larsson is confident the fact City have been in a relegation dogfight will not hamper his chances of being part of the Sweden squad this summer.
He said: "Whether we're down the bottom or towards the top of the Premier League at Birmingham, we're still playing the same teams and I'm still facing the same players week in, week out.
"I'm sure it won't affect things for me with Sweden too much for the simple reason that I have been playing every week.
"But in all honesty I'm not thinking about Euro 2008 at the moment because I've only got Birmingham in my head and the Blackburn game.
"If I do get into the Sweden squad I want to go over there, be involved and play in the games. I don't just want to be part of the squad."
