Birmingham's Ghana international goalkeeper Richard Kingson is leaving St Andrews after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.
The 29-year-old - branded "a complete waste of space" by Blues owner David Sullivan earlier this week - still had one year left to run on his current deal.
However, after making just one Premier League appearance in the 2-0 home defeat by Portsmouth in November, Kingson is leaving Birmingham and could be set for a return to Turkey.
Blues boss Alex McLeish told the club's website: "I'm sorry things didn't work out for Richard.
"It's about opinions and we have other plans, so for the sake of his first-team future, we have let Richard move on."
