Birmingham's impressive pre-season form is showing no signs of relenting following a 2-1 success over Nurnberg in Austria.
Alex McLeish's side led the contest just 11 seconds after kick-off when Garry O'Connor nodded home James McFadden's cross.
The Bundesliga outfit levelled on the quarter-hour mark when Peter Perchtold lashed an arrowing shot across Maik Taylor.
However, the Blues were not to be denied and regained the lead within a minute when McFadden converted Sebastian Larsson's cross.
