Blues keeper hit by injury blow

Birmingham have revealed Colin Doyle has undergone minor knee surgery - meaning he will be sidelined for around two weeks.

The Republic of Ireland goalkeeper used the timely international break to have an operation to remove a small part of cartilage.

And although the 23-year-old is only likely to be out in the short-term, he could prove doubtful for the home clash against Doncaster on September 13.

Third-choice keeper Artur Krysiak should be fit in time to take his place on the bench after returning to training following a finger injury picked up while on loan at Blue Square Premier side York.
