O'Connor calls for Blues goals

Birmingham striker Garry O'Connor has challenged his side to support the Blues frontline's scoring efforts.

The St Andrews team are top of the Championship standings by a point going into the international break.

But with second-placed Wolves and Reading in third scoring goals for fun, O'Connor knows Blues must raise their goals tally to stay on top.

He told the club's official site: "I'm just waiting on us to push on and get more goals this season.

"It seems to be the strikers always scoring, so maybe other players can chip in with a goal here and there and that might help too."
