Birmingham forward James McFadden has urged FIFA to award him Scotland's second goal against Iceland, which was credited to Barry Robson.
The world game's governing body officially credited the strike to Robson, even though pictures suggest McFadden got the decisive touch on the ball when following up his own penalty in the 2-1 win in Reykjavik last month.
"I don't really know the ins and outs but I'm told the match reports given to FIFA stated Barry had scored," the striker told the Scottish Sun ahead of Scotland's first match since the incident, their World Cup qualifier against Norway. "It wouldn't be such a big debate if Robbo had got a touch to it, but I think he knows it's my goal.
"I know I touched it and I know I scored it. It's my goal they have taken off me and I'd like it back."
He added: "If it wasn't me who missed the penalty, I would just have let him put it in. But I missed the penalty and wanted to make up for it and get the ball in the net."
FIFA have already said the Scottish Football Association must lobby on McFadden's behalf if they are to consider altering their records.
