Blackburn's veteran midfielder Tugay has signed a 12-month extension to his contract at Ewood Park.
The 37-year-old, who was capped 94 times by Turkey, has committed to his eighth season with Rovers.
Tugay was signed from Rangers by former Blackburn boss Graeme Souness in 2001 and has made more than 250 appearances, scoring 12 goals.
He began his career with Istanbul giants Galatasaray before moving to Scotland in 2000.
