Blackburn have made a £9.5million bid for Valencia's Spain winger Joaquin, according to reports emanating from the Primera Liga.
Joaquin has been strongly linked with a move to Ewood Park as Rovers boss Paul Ince searches for a replacement for David Bentley.
Monday's rumour mill saw talk of Rovers lodging a bid in the region of 12million euros (£9.5million) for the 27-year-old.
It is also suggested Valencia's vice-president Fernando Gomez would meet Joaquin's agent on Tuesday to discuss the offer from Blackburn.
However, Joaquin's team-mate Alexis believes that the former Real Betis star, who was left out of Spain's Euro 2008 squad, is not looking to leave the Mestalla.
"In the dressing room, Joaquin is always the same - cheerful," Alexis told AS.
"I don't think we have any problems.
"He doesn't want to go, he's very happy in Valencia and I wouldn't want him to leave because to have a person like him in the dressing room is a joy.
"I get along very well with him."

"Get real, Incey"

"Ince needs to sign him soon. If he leaves it drag on like Anthony Annan transfer, (who I still hope we sign) then we could lose out on snapping up Joaquin"
Hitcho (Liverpool fan)
"This guy was seriously hot property a few years ago and was being priced out of a move to just about every big club after him. Now he's not even in the national squad, and there have always been doubts about his ability to cut it in a more physical league like the Premiership. Exciting move by Ince which is good to see, but I'm not sure it would be a great signing. Still, I hope they get him!"
