Florent Sinama-Pongolle's agent has played down reports linking the Atletico Madrid forward with a move to Blackburn Rovers this month.

Reports over the weekend suggested Rovers were lining up a move for the Frenchman as Sam Allardyce looks to strengthen his frontline.

Sinama-Pongolle had a spell on loan at Ewood Park in 2006 when he was on the books of Liverpool.

The 24-year-old has found himself behind Sergio Aguero and Diego Forlan in the pecking order at Atletico, fuelling rumours of a possible move away.

However, the player's agent Pascal Floch has rejected the speculation and says Sinama Pongolle is happy at the Vicente Calderon.

"I don't know anything about these reports with Blackburn," Floch told skysports.

"I think it is not possible for Flo to leave Atletico Madrid. He is happy at Atletico and I expect him to stay there."
