Megson excited by Muamba potential

Bolton manager Gary Megson admits he is excited by the potential of new midfielder Fabrice Muamba ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

The 20-year-old, who joined from Birmingham for £5m, is set to make his Trotters debut in a friendly at Rochdale on Friday night.

Megson told the Manchester Evening News: "He is a real athlete on the pitch. He has got real ability but the exciting thing from our point of view is that he can get even better."
