Gary Megson's side claimed their first away victory since April when they overcame Gianfranco Zola's side at Upton Park with a 3-1 win thanks to goals from Kevin Davies, Gary Cahill and Matt Taylor.

"I enjoyed it on Sunday; it was a good match and one which we had to win," the 30-year-old told the club's official website.

"We needed a win going into the international break and if we can get another three points against Blackburn then we'll jump up the table.

"When you win matches it gives you confidence so hopefully all the lads will be looking forward to our next match, especially with it being a local derby."
