Bolton's record signing Johan Elmander has admitted he needs more speed after only finding the net once so far this term.
The Swedish international is still searching for the sort of form which earned him an £11million move from Toulouse in the summer.
He enjoyed a dream start when scoring against Stoke on the opening day of the season.
But he has since failed to find the net and again drew a blank in his country's goalless draw with Portugal on Saturday, where he missed several chances.
Having now played in several top-flight games, the striker admits he needs more speed in a league where a lot of foreign players struggle to adapt to arguably the fastest tempo in the world.
The 27-year-old, who should feature for the Trotters against Blackburn on Saturday, told the Manchester Evening News: "I would lie if I say that I am on top form.
"I am lacking touches of the ball and speed."
