Gary Megson's side had to settle for a point after the Lancashire derby at the Reebok Stadium.

Samuel told the club's official website: "The result leaves us in good stead for next week at Tottenham as four points from our last two games isn't bad at all, so next week I think we can go down there, be positive and take all three points again.

"It was frustrating more than anything. We would have liked all three points and we had the chances to do so, but we need to be more ruthless and put our chances away.

"It's a positive that we are doing better than we were at this stage last season and we going in the right direction because the performances are there."
