Promising young midfielder Alex Stavrinou has signed his first professional contract with Charlton.
The player was told back in February that he would make the step up from the club's academy and he has put pen to paper on a one-year deal.
A Cyprus youth international, Stavrinou was converted from a centre-back to a central midfielder by Under-16s coach Steve Avory.
He has since gone on to flourish in that role, making a total of 22 appearances for the Under-18s last season and also playing 12 times for the club's reserve-team.
