Parkinson salutes Addicks 'heroes'

Phil Parkinson thought his 10-man Charlton side would have been good value for all three points in the 1-1 draw with Yeovil at Huish Park.

Sam Sodje was dismissed for a professional foul on Ryan Mason after 27 minutes of Saturday's League One clash and the on-loan Tottenham youngster played through Jon Obika to give Yeovil the lead on the stroke of the interval.

However, it was Sodje's brother Akpo, introduced from the bench at half-time, who fired home from 25 yards in the 56th minute to claim a point for the promotion-chasing Addicks in a game played in driving wind and rain throughout.

Parkinson said: "I was confident we could turn things around. We did well enough in the first half against the wind and rain and were unlucky not to get three points as we dominated the second half.

"We had some heroes. The commitment was superb and I couldn't have asked for more from the 1200 to 1500 supporters who came here and stood in the pouring rain at the open end."

 Yeovil 1 - 1 Charlton
