Carvalho is an amazing centre back, Cech is best goalie in the world, Ballack is back to his best(hasn't he scored a few recently..hmmm...yes a couple against Man U) Makelele is the benchmark for all holding midfielders, yes Robben had injury problems but he was a top player, Joe Cole - great season, to name but a few. Yes there's been dodgy signings but what club hasn't you've been through a few goalkeepers until you got van der sar, Saha's a waste of time etc. The point is Essien is not our decent player and sometimes clubs make bad signings these things happen. "

"Do you know what I love about your comments Chelsea? All the players mentioned in the previous posts with the exception of Essien have been flops. Robben was injury ridden, as was Ballack who also ontributed to the departure of of your beloved chosen one. Mikel cost you an extra 12m in our favour, and he is a filthy little sod so you're welcome to him, he definetly suits Chelsea over Utd. Maybe judging by 'jonniebryant's' comment this guy is a decoy, Utd come out to say we're after this guy, you sign and leave the path clear for Alves or P Lahm. I seriously reckon Fergie and Utd have got wise to this now, which is why you saw him swoop for Anderson and Nani quickly and quietly at the end of last season. We don't really need many more players, I would like to see Fergie sign a prolific striker, Hunterlaar, Berbatov or Benzema (surely Chelsea can't buy all 3 of them) and an adaptable fullback, how about Ramos? "
