Anelka on the mend - Domenech

France coach Raymond Domenech is sure Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka will be fit for Les Bleus' World Cup qualifier with Romania on Saturday.

Anelka: Muscle spasms

Anelka scored Chelsea's second goal in their 2-0 win over Aston Villa before being substituted at half-time after a recurrence of the muscle spasms which forced him to miss training on Friday.

The former Bolton forward was reported as doubtful for the upcoming clash but Domenech believes Anelka, who scored the winner in last month's 2-1 victory over Serbia, will be fully fit.

He said: "There was a small doubt over 'Nico' but he saw the doctor and for the moment he's fine."

But Domenech will have to do without Lassana Diarra.

The Portsmouth midfielder is suffering from an inflammation to his left knee and will play no part in the match in Constanta.

Diarra, who has won 16 caps for France, has established himself as a regular for Les Bleus in recent months, starting each of their three games since Euro 2008.
