MM has first-team future - Blues

Chelsea's latest England star, 20-year-old defender Michael Mancienne, has been told he has a first-team future at Stamford Bridge.

Mancienne, who is in England's squad to face Germany on Wednesday, had recently hinted he might have to quit the club in order to gain regular first-team football.

He is currently on loan at Wolves having spent much of the previous two seasons at QPR.

But Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck said: "He is a very good young player and we look forward to him at some point making it into the first team.

"Unfortunately, we have lots of good players who play in the same position so in the last couple of years we've sent him out on loan to gain experience."

"The sad thing is that I think Sydney is right. And not because MM won t be up to the challenge but because of Chelsea s complete lack of faith in there own youngsters. But don't be fooled by the recent out-cry about this lads inclusion in the England team, hes there for one reason- Scolari clearly sees the fantastic potential he has! Ive got a season ticket and after watchin Lescoot from start to finish of his Wolves career (and worshippin him throughout!;) I hate to admit that this guy already looks like a much more rounded footballer and he is much younger (and more injury free for it!). I might not be Chelseas biggest fan but good luck to the lad, he's come to us and given 110% in every match and continues to be a large influence in our teams recent return to form. Lets just hope Chelski get Nesta/ Cannavaro v.soon! ;)"
