Everton are tracking Marseille midfielder Modeste M'Bami with interest, according to reports in France.
The Cameroon international has been in fine form in recent months as Marseille have steadily climbed the Ligue 1 table.
He will be a free agent in the summer of 2009 and has shown no desire to sign a contract extension.
M'Bami is understood to be ready to embark on a new challenge in a different country and France Football has reported that a number of clubs are monitoring his progress.
Toffees manager David Moyes has already spoken of his plans to strengthen his squad in the summer and the Everton manager is believed to be keeping tabs on M'Bami.
Italian duo Fiorentina and Sampdoria have also been strongly linked with the 25-year-old.
