Lescott has faith in Moyes' dealings

Everton defender Joleon Lescott has every confidence that Toffees manager David Moyes will get it right in the transfer market this summer.

The Toffees are yet to make a signing ahead of the new season, but England star Lescott is unfazed.

He is fully confident that Moyes will land his targets in due course.

"I know the manager hasn't made any signings this summer, but again he is no fool and he knows who he wants and who he needs," Lescott told Sky Sports News.

"I am sure when he does make a signing it will be the right player.

"There isn't many transfers anywhere else, so it isn't just Everton not signing anyone, other clubs are not signing players but again the manager knows who he wants and I am sure we will get them."

Lescott feels Everton will again be pushing towards the top-four, even without spending huge amounts of money.

"I think over the last couple of years most teams have spent more than us but we have pushed them to the max all the same and I am sure this season will be the same," he said.

"I think we have to take the positives out of the situation that we are not spending as much as the other clubs but we are still achieving as much so if we can hit the level of consistency we want then we will be there or thereabouts."
