Robins squad boosted by double deal

Swindon have confirmed the double capture of Jamie Vincent and Michael Timlin who have both signed deals with the club for next season.

Vincent: One-year deal
Vincent: One-year deal

Vincent has agreed a new one-year deal at the County Ground, while Timlin, a loan player with the Robins this term, will join permanently from Fulham on July 1.

Boss Maurice Malpas told the club's official website: "He (Vincent) is a good talker on the pitch and an experienced player, so we are delighted that he has put pen to paper.

"Michael Timlin has agreed terms to join us officially on July 1. He is still a Fulham player until then but it was probably one of the easiest deals we've done."

The Scot admitted the Robins are "waiting to hear back" from Jack Smith over his decision on a new deal, while Malpas is "prepared to give time" to midfielder Michael Pook.

He added: "He would only be a squad player next season and he is desperate to play regular football, so is looking for a new club."
