Pre-Goodison groin test for Torres

Fernando Torres will have a fitness test on Saturday to see whether he is fit enough to be included in Liverpool's squad at Everton on Sunday.

Torres has been having treatment on his serious groin injury, and has done light training this week under the control of Liverpool's fitness coaches.

Winger Ryan Babel is still out with an ankle injury, but Italian midfielder Alberto Aquilani is likely to be on the substitutes' bench. Glen Johnson, Albert Riera and Yossi Benayoun, who have all struggled with injuries over the past week, should be in the squad.

Kick-off in the Premier League clash at Goodison Park is at 1.30pm.

"Please give aquilani some real game time!!!!

This guy has the ability to play balls that that need only two simple touches before hitting the back of the net! We need him to help us win games, and the players need to get used to him as well. It makes me angry that Rafa gave him only two minutes in a game where we needed goals, and he left Lucas on the pitch!

Could someone explain what role exactly Lucas fills on the pitch that Rafa sticks by him ?"
