Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez admits he has considered retiring from football if Argentina win next summer's World Cup in South Africa.
The 25-year-old is eager to spend more time with his family and has also thought about returning to Argentina with former club Boca Juniors or withdrawing completely from the game.
"It crosses my mind to hang up my boots if we win the World Cup, although I have a contract until 2014 (with Manchester City)," he revealed in an interview with Argentinian newspaper Ole.
"It's complicated, there's my family, the desire to return to Boca Juniors, but I think about it."
He added: "I'm a little tired of so much football, so much football...I want to enjoy my family a bit.
"I'm very keen to stop and get a bit of calm. I've already won a lot. Living for football has saturated me a lot."

"I told you guys long ago - Hughes made a big blunder to sign him at crazy prices. This guy sucks... He is simply not good enough, eg not enough goals..."

"This guy is just not right in the head. Good on Fergie for identifying that. He is not even recognizable from the player who lit up Upton Park with pace, skill, flair and tenacity. He had a nice first season for United, but since then his game has deserted him. Still remains a pain in the arse to play against, just isn't the match winner he used to be and hasn't fulfilled his promise of being one of the best."

"Hold on a minute. Is this the same Tevez that cried like a baby when he never got picked for united last season when he had alot more games to play i.e. Carling Cup, F.A cup, champions league and the premier league. Now he has got his wish of playing more games he says it is too much for his even though he is on a alot lenient routine than what he was last season. Maybe he actually now knows he is not as good as what his agent made him to be. He is a excellent impact player but impact players are not worth 25 or 47m."

"It is imposible for Argentina to get the 2010 World Cup coz of their current players. For Mr. Tevez, enjoying family life does not prevent u from playing footballl. Its better to be frank than giving blame excusses."

"He's just tired of playing for a small, redundant and insignificant club like man. sh*tty. Of course it'll be a huge step down for him after playing for Man. Utd. and I think he finally realises that. Anyway, he's already got the lucrative contract he's always coveted from the generous arabs and will have sufficient earnings to retire by next year... LOOOOLL........."

"I find this insulting to the masses that begrudgingly hold down a 9 to 5 job in order to scrape a living."
