Thierry Henry has dismissed talk of a return to the Premier League by declaring that he will stay with Barcelona for at least one more season.
The Frenchman has rarely been at his best since moving to Nou Camp from Arsenal last summer, and he has often had to settle for a place on the substitutes' bench.
He has been linked with a return to the Premier League but insists he will not be going anywhere in the near future.
"As for my future, no, I do not want to leave," he told Le Parisien.
"I still have three years to run on my contract here and I will still be here next year."
Meanwhile, widespread reports suggest that Josep Guardiola is to be named as Barcelona's new manager.
Frank Rijkaard's position has come under scrutiny after a disappointing season which has yielded no silverware for Barcelona.
The Dutchman has vowed not to walk away but club directors are understood to have elected Guardiola at a meeting over the weekend.
Guardiola spent 11 years as a player at Barcelona and has been in charge of the club's B team for the last 12 months.
The former Spain international has yet to comment on the story but his appointment is expected to be confirmed by the end of the week.

"OK we need more key players, As much as all the arsenal fans still love henry, we dont need him back, we showed that this season. Henry is just at a bad peak of his career, and i thought he was stupid moving to the spanish league as its a big step down from the premier league. Fast football suits henry, and sticking a world class on the bench? something wrong there."
QPRforever (Queens Park Rangers fan)
"Herts14, i agree arsenal dont need him back, but henry is no way near finshed still one of the best in the world just off form. look at drogba was brilliant at Marseille and moved to Chelsea didnt do all that good in his first season and in the next everyone was saying how AMAZING he was probally even the people who said he was rubbish and a waste of money. i expected henry next season to show everyone hes gone nowhere."
