Forster set to start for City

Norwich City manager Paul Lambert will be without the services of goalkeeper Ben Alnwick for the visit of Walsall in League One on Saturday.

On-loan Tottenham goalkeeper Alnwick returned against Brentford in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in midweek after a facial injury but has now picked up a hip injury and has returned to White Hart Lane for treatment.

He could be out for six weeks so on-loan Newcastle goalkeeper Fraser Forster should start.

Lambert saw his side beat Brentford but will recall a handful of players to the team as he looks for a third straight league victory.

Captain Grant Holt and Jamie Cureton will return in attack after being rested for the Brentford win, while Adam Drury and Paul McVeigh will hope to earn recalls.

Darel Russell, Goran Maric and Chris Martin will hope to be involved after being handed their first starts under Lambert in midweek.

Dejan Stefanovic has left the club after his contract was terminated by mutual consent and midfielders Matt Gill and Owain Tudur Jones are both out with calf injuries.

Rhoys Wiggins (knee) is back in training but unlikely to feature while Damon Lathrope (broken arm) is still sidelined.
