Trio to rattle sabres over Dindane

Portsmouth, Manchester City and Wigan are all being linked with a £10million summer swoop for highly-rated Racing Lens striker Aruna Dindane.

Manchester United and Fulham are also reportedly keeping an eye on the powerful Ivory Coast striker, 27, even though he won't be available until October following a knee operation.

In France, he is being courted by Lyon, Nancy and St Etienne, but Dindane would prefer a crack at the Premier League, according to reports on Sunday.

Dindane, who first played in Europe for Anderlecht, moved to Lens in the summer of 2005 and has since scored 25 goals in 90 appearances for the club.

Last season he scored a modest eight goals in 28 appearances but could not stop the club being relegated despite reaching the French Cup final and featuring in the UEFA Cup.

"why would united even bother with this guy, 10 mil for a guy who only scored 8 in 28. we have better options already available plus better options in the transfer market who represent better value for money. "

"this is a load of nads, we laready have 5 decent strikers vying for a first team place. Why would we want to spend 10 mil on him! SWP would cost about that !PUP!"
