Begovic open to Ipswich return

Portsmouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic would be "very interested" in another loan spell at Ipswich if the opportunity arose in the future.

The Bosnia international was set to stay at Portman Road until January but Pompey have recalled him following an injury to David James.

"I really enjoyed my time at Ipswich. I would have been very happy to stay until January but circumstances have dictated differently," Begovic told Town's official website.

"I am sad to leave and I have enjoyed the challenge but Portsmouth want me back and I have a new challenge. But if the opportunity comes up to return to Ipswich on loan I would be very interested."
