Antonio would welcome Saints stay

Southampton winger Michail Antonio has revealed he would like to extend his loan deal at the League One club until the end of the season.

Antonio's loan spell from Reading was extended until January last week after he impressed during an initial one-month stay.

And now the 19-year-old, who scored in the 3-2 FA Cup first-round win at Bristol Rovers, admits he would happily stay even longer.

"Every time I have come on I've affected the game and I can see that the manager likes me," he told BBC Radio Solent.

"I'm here until January, if he [Alan Pardew] wants to extend it longer, I'd be happy to stay."
