Tottenham coach Juande Ramos is being linked with a shock move to bring Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan back to the Premier League.
The former Manchester United frontman, who scored 10 goals in 63 league starts for the Old Trafford club, has reportedly been sounded out by Spurs' Uruguayan assistant coach Gus Poyet about joining his fellow countryman at White Hart Lane next season.
Tottenham are preparing for life without Dimitar Berbatov, with the Bulgarian hitman set to quit the club this summer, and Forlan is one of a number of forwards linked with a move to the north London outfit according to The People.
However with Atletico expected to demand around £20million for the former Villarreal star, Spurs are more likely to turn their attention elsewhere as they look to bounce back from a disappointing league campaign in which they finished 11th.

"Nope. Bad idea. Sheva all over again. He wasn't quick enough for the PL whilst at MU and he certainly wonn't be now. Yes he scored tons of goals for VR but sheva did for Milan and look what happened. Leave him there to be a legend and don't mess up his career by coming to the PL and risk diluting his credibilty. a £20m mistake for sure"

"i dont think it is such a bad idea forlan has improved very much since he left man u. 2 seasons ago he scored over 40 goals not to mention being the top goal scorer in europe for villareal"
