Brunt tips Jara to hit the heights

West Brom winger Chris Brunt says Gonzalo Jara has been a "steal" for the club and insists the Chile international is a Premier League player.

The versatile Jara has played in five difference positions since arriving at The Hawthorns in a £1.4million deal in the summer and Brunt expects the 24-year-old to play a key role in Albion's promotion bid.

"Gonzalo seems to be a bit of a utility man," Brunt told the club's official website. "He looks like an absolute steal to be honest and credit to whoever scouted him and signed him for the football club.

"He's a great signing for the football club and I think we've done very well to get him. After playing in the Premier League last season you see players week in, week out and I think he'd be very comfortable in any Premier League team.

"Hopefully he can help us, by playing wherever, to get us back into the Premier League this season - because he's definitely got the qualities to play there himself."
