Di Matteo: Looking at striker

The 20-year-old is is keen to return to Europe having previously been on the books at Dutch side FC Groningen, where failed to make it into their first team.

Haber had trials with Leeds, Gillingham and Hartlepool last year, but a move did not materialise and he joined the Whitecaps in February.

After a successful campaign in Canada, he has now joined Albion on trial and will look to impress manager Roberto Di Matteo over the next week.

"He's a striker, has good credentials and we are always interested at looking at players," Di Matteo told the Birmingham Mail.

"But I have no plans to bring anyone else in on trial as we have such a busy schedule coming up."
