Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has wasted no time shaping his squad for next season, with no less than six players on their way out of Molineux.
Skipper Gary Breen, who was out of contract in the summer, has left the club after making just 19 league appearances this term.
Jay Bothroyd, Rob Edwards, Darren Potter, Darren Ward and Stephen Elliott have also been made available for transfer after it was announced on Thursday striker Freddy Eastwood was free to leave the club.
On-loan trio Kevin Kyle, Darron Gibson and Graham Stack have all returned to parents clubs Coventry, Manchester United and Reading respectively.
However, the club have taken up a one-year option on Jody Craddock and are in talks with Michael Gray, whose contract also expires this summer.
McCarthy told the club's official website: "We want to make some changes and freshen things up, so we need to generate places for new players by transfer listing some of the squad. And these players themselves will want regular first team football to develop their own careers."

"I fine my self shock that at last Mad Mick as made the right decision in his choices to make available Bothroyd,Elliott,Edwards,Potter,Ward, the fans have said all of last season that those players were simply not good enough and now he finality realizes it and do not know about you but I am happy that Kyle,Gibson, have all gone back to the clubs they were a waste of the clubs weekly salary. "

"Well, well, great to see the clearout begin so soon, a recognition perhaps that the bulk of the squad just weren't good enough at the end of the day. And it might prove to be a blessing in disguise that we are not in the playoffs, it gives us more time to get the right type of players in to get us out of this cursed division which will be very difficult next season given the teams coming down and the resurgence of some others. That will be the challenge - getting the right TYPE, the right quality we need, and I agree with others that mid field creativity, some defensive steel/pace and a boss on the park are a must. Whether we can attract those players will be interesting, whether potential targets will relish (or not)working with McCarthy, particularly given the very public treatment of Eastwood. Let's hope we are surprised and delighted by what we bring in."
