Super start delights McCarthy

Mick McCarthy has hailed Wolves' achievements so far this season and has set his sights on a similar return from the club's next 10 games.

Wolves currently sit second in the Championship table having won seven games so far, and despite losing their last two against Reading and Swansea, McCarthy is over the moon with the club's season to date.

"Throw everything that's happened into the pot and mix it up, to come out with 22 points from 10 games - that's a fantastic haul of points," said McCarthy on the club's official website.

"Lets just hope we take 22 from the next 10 as well - we'd certainly take that.

"As I've always said it's never a matter of how or when you get the points, it's about putting them on the board. I'm very pleased with the amount we've picked up so far.

"We've got this break now but everyone is looking forward to getting some of our players back in and starting again."
