Stopper urges Royals improvement

Reading keeper Marcus Hahnemann has admitted that the Royals' form has hit such a low that even a place in the play-offs may not be guaranteed.

Hahnemann: Looking for an improvement in form

Steve Coppell's side have won just two of their last 13 games to blow any chance of automatic promotion and slip to fifth place in the Championship with four games to go.

Hahnemann, who was part of the side that let a 2-0 lead slip at Blackpool on Monday, told the Reading Evening Post: "If we carry on like this then you could say even reaching the play-offs is questionable.

"There needs to be an improvement. We have had such a bad run over the last couple of months and have fallen off the pace. It has to stop or we will miss out.

"But I think we are so close to finding our form. We have four games left to do it.

"We need to start this Saturday. We need to win at home against Barnsley. Our home form hasn't been great, but if we start like we did at Blackpool then we'll be fine."
