New Brighton & Hove Albion signing Colin Hawkins believes the Seagulls can reach the play-offs at the very least this season.
Centre-back Hawkins was released by Coventry at the end of last season and became Micky Adams' first signing of the summer.
He made just one appearance for the Sky Blues last year before going on loan at Chesterfield and is now eager to get on with the job in hand.
"There is no reason why we can't at least make the play-offs," he told the club's official website.
"But there is no point in shouting it from the roof tops either.
"We want to get on with the business quietly and see how it goes and take every game as it comes."
