Cardiff striker Steve Thompson has welcomed Gavin Rae and Kevin McNaughton's call-up to the Scotland squad - even if he failed to make the cut.
The pair were included in George Burley's squad for a friendly against the Czech Republic in Prague on May 30, bringing down the curtain on a whirlwind season which has seen the Bluebirds reach the FA Cup final.
Thompson believes their inclusions are worthy recognition for their performances this term, but insists he has no reason to feel hard done by at his own exclusion.
"I'm really pleased they have both been noticed by Scotland," Thompson told the South Wales Echo. "Gavin and Kevin are loving it down in South Wales. Both have been outstanding."
He added: "On the back of this season, I haven't done enough to even be quoted for Scotland. If I get back to playing regularly next season then maybe people will take a little notice again."
