Coventry boss Chris Coleman is adamant striker Michael Mifsud remains vital to his side after recent uncertainty over the 27-year-old's future.
The Malta international came close to leaving the club when he handed in a transfer request last month.
Championship rivals Bristol City agreed a deal with the Sky Blues for the frontman but the move collapsed at the last minute, leaving Mifsud in limbo.
He returned to the Coventry side for Wednesday's Carling Cup win against Aldershot and, following his performance in the first round tie, Coleman is happy to keep the diminutive forward.
"This season is about Coventry City, the team and the squad we are going to use all our players because we have 45 games left," Coleman told Sky Sports News.
"We want Michael Mifsud to stay here and play with us. If Michael keeps giving us that performance and that level of commitment only a fool would leave him out of the squad and I am not a fool."

"Well said CC at last. A very good sign that common sense prevailed from both sides. I think now is the chance for CC and RR to try and snap MM on a better contract. I wouldn't think that it would be very difficult. His price could eventually soar. Never say never!!"
