Konstantopoulos tips three suitors

Coventry goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos claims former club Hartlepool are among three sides who are interested in signing him.

The giant Greek also claims that a couple of Championship clubs make up the trio of sides vying for his signature.

Konstantopoulos, who has two years remaining on the deal he signed when he joined Coventry from Hartlepool in May 2007, has fallen down the pecking order at the Midlands club following an Achilles injury and the arrival this summer of Keiren Westwood from Carlisle.

The 29-year-old feels he may have to move away from the Ricoh Arena in order to get regular first-team football.

"There are three clubs at the moment who are waiting for me to get back to fitness. Two of them are Championship clubs and Hartlepool are the other one," Konstantopoulos told the Hartlepool Mail. "At the moment I am considering my options. There are three other keepers at Coventry so for me to get back in the team will be a bit hard.

"It is a bit touch and go for a move before the transfer window, but it is not a massive deal because the loan window opens up a week later. I feel that I am good enough to compete at Championship level at least."
