Crewe Alexandra striker Shaun Miller has high hopes for the new season as he seeks a permanent place in the Railwaymen's first XI.
The 20-year-old, who appeared 15 times during the 2007/08 campaign, is keen to repay the trust shown in him by first-team coach Steve Holland during pre-season.
Miller told the club's official website: "I've spoken to Steve and I feel like I'm hopefully going to get a good run this season. If I just keep improving then there is no reason why I can't have a run in the team.
"I am definitely feeling fitter and stronger. I just need to keep getting minutes under my belt over pre-season and we'll see what happens."
