Rams confirm talks with Commons

Relegated Derby have confirmed they are in talks with highly-rated winger Kris Commons over a move to Pride Park.

The 24-year-old left Nottingham Forest on Wednesday after telling manager Colin Calderwood he had decided to end his spell at the City Ground despite their promotion back to the Championship.

"We are in talks with Kris and we are hopeful that he will agree to join us in the near future," Derby chairman Adam Pearson told the club's official website.
