The 33-year-old former Wales international has failed to hold onto a first-team place at Pride Park this season and has opted to drop down a division to link up with the Seagulls and Micky Adams - his former boss at Leicester.

"We're delighted to have Robbie here," Adams told the club's official website.

"He is a terrific character on and off the pitch and having worked with him before, I know the sort of quality he'll add to the team."

Savage is due to join his new team-mates for training on Thursday and could make his debut in Saturday's League One clash at home to Cheltenham.
