Jewell confirms Shawcross interest
Derby manager Paul Jewell has confirmed his interest in a loan move for Stoke City central defender Ryan Shawcross.

Rumours have consistently linked the Rams with Shawcross as they look to strengthen their backline following inconsistent form in the Championship.
And Jewell has now confirmed he would be keen to bring the England Under-21 international to Pride Park.
But Jewell fears that Stoke boss Tony Pulis - who has previously insisted that Shawcross will not be leaving on loan before January - will remain unwilling to allow the 20-year-old to leave.
"Ryan Shawcross is a good player, though whether Tony Pulis is prepared to let him go out on loan, I don't know," Jewell told The Rams.
"I've read a couple of things that he's not letting anybody go out on loan."
