Boss Paul Jewell insists Derby are focused on Saturday's home clash with Sheffield Wednesday and not the Carling Cup quarter-final draw.
The Rams reached the competition's last eight for the first time since 1990 courtesy of a 2-1 win over Leeds at Pride Park on Tuesday night.
Another Yorkshire club are the visitors at the weekend and Jewell said: "It is a clichi but we are only concerned with the Sheffield Wednesday game.
"Obviously it is great to be in the next round but our attentions will be on league points and not who we get in the draw."
Derby will know their opponents on Saturday before they take the field against the Owls. Arsenal, Manchester United, Stoke, Blackburn, Spurs and fellow Championship sides Burnley and Watford remain in the competition.
