Latics win race to snap up Maher
Oldham have beaten Gillingham and Swindon to the signing of midfielder Kevin Maher on a one-year deal following his release by Southend.

The 31-year-old was a free agent after being released by the Shrimpers at the end of last season.
He had been linked with Gillingham - where he spent time on loan last season - and Swindon, but has decided to link up with the Latics.
