Ipswich manager Jim Magilton has confirmed he is weighing up a move for former Manchester City defender Ben Thatcher.
Thatcher has joined the club on their tour of Ireland and started in Monday night's 7-0 friendly win over Cliftonville.
Magilton said: "Ben is a proven player at the top level and we are well aware of his quality.
"We are taking the opportunity to look at each other over the next few days and then both Ben and ourselves will make a decision as to whether we want to move things forward."
