Town round off tour in style

Ipswich boss Jim Magilton saw his side conclude their pre-season tour of Ireland with a comfortable 3-1 victory against Glentoran on Saturday.

It was the hosts who started the brighter when striker Gary Hamilton's shot ricocheted off Shane Supple's post, and minutes later the Glens deservedly took the lead through midfielder Jason Hill.

But the Tractor Boys' fitness paid dividends midway through the first-half when Alan Lee headed Ipswich level and second-half goals from Pablo Counago and a penalty from transfer-listed winger Gary Roberts secured an impressive victory for the Blues.
