Supple last featured for the club back in August 2008 but has decided to stay under new boss Roy Keane and fight Richard Wright for the number one shirt.

He told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to have agreed a new contract at the club.

"I've not signed just to sit on the bench though. I want to play first-team football and I intend to put as much pressure on Wrighty as I can.

"I know he's a top goalkeeper but he knows I'm after his shirt."
