Imps hopeful over Dany deal

Lincoln chairman Steff Wright hopes the Imps and Leicester City can reach an agreement over compensation for Dany N'Guessan.

N'Guessan: On the move

Leicester completed the signing of N'Guessan on Friday, with the former Auxerre player putting pen to paper on a three-year deal.

Lincoln are entitled to compensation as N'Guessan is under the age of 24, but that has yet to be agreed.

After failing to reach an agreement following over three weeks of talks, it appears the fee will be decided by an independent panel.

However, Wright has not given up hope that a deal can be reached without the need for a tribunal.

"Obviously we have been talking for quite some time and the outlook is that Dany's fee will probably be decided by a tribunal," Wright told the Lincolnshire Echo. "That's not the outcome we want, but ultimately if we cannot agree then that is the only way this business will be settled."
