Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood has boosted his forward options by signing teenage striker Mickael Darnet from AS Cannes.
The 18-year-old was brought to the club by French-based Forest scout David Friio and has now signed a one-year deal at the City Ground.
Darnet featured in Tuesday's 3-1 win over Burton Albion and Calderwood is delighted to secure his fifth summer signing following the arrival of Robert Earnshaw, Paul Anderson, Guy Moussi and Andrew Cole.
"He's a tough little character," said Calderwood.
"He's obviously quiet to a degree because he's not fluent in the language but he's learning English at the moment, along with Guy Moussi, and we have Hamza Bencherif in the dressing room to help them both."
