Royals boss happy with strikeforce

Reading boss Steve Coppell appears in no rush to use any of the £5.5million generated by the sale of Dave Kitson to strengthen his attack.

Coppell: In no rush to spend cash

Kitson's departure to the Britannia Stadium has left Coppell with three recognised strikers in Kevin Doyle, Leroy Lita and Shane Long ahead of the new season.

But Coppell is unfazed and will bide his time before making a move in the transfer market.

"We've got a couple of possibilities, but nothing has gone too far," said Coppell.

"If we go into the season with three happy forwards then I'd be fine with that because I think we'd be alright.

"If there's interest in any of the three then we'd need replacements lined-up, and that's why time is precious."
